Have you ever wondered why it seems like we are getting sicker instead of better? When I was growing up I only knew a couple of people with diabetes, no one with Parkinson's, and only a handful of people who had or were in remission from cancer. I understand that the argument can be made that I was younger then so I didn't have as much exposure to people with these illnesses. It is also true that we may have become better at diagnosing them, so it's not that more people have them now, just that more people are being properly diagnosed. But by that logic, the same advances in technology that have allowed for accurate diagnoses, should also be lowering some of the instances of disease, right?
Research is beginning to support the notion that we are eating, drinking, and otherwise ingesting stuff that is making us sick. I know this is a debatable claim and I also know that the food and chemical companies can produce research to the contrary. However, just in case you suspect that it could be true, you might want to read about:

In the end I can't help but question that if the stuff we are spraying -- or in some cases injecting -- into our food is so safe, why do those who apply it have to wear haz-mat suits and gas masks and why do we have to be warned to stay away from it?
